Paella in South Korea: Alma Foods

Throughout the more than three years we have active in Webmenaje we have sent our products to the most disparate places: from neighboring Portugal to Israel, through sales rather frequent in France, England and Germany. The usual tasks of a company formed by charming and beautiful people.

 

Although we have lived long enough and start to get tanned, the truth is that we still amazed some things; the last one happened a couple of weeks ago, when we receive a request for the Soul Foods paella restaurant specializes in Spanish food. So far, nothing strange. That came when they said the address turned out to be located in the middle of Seoul. South Korea, for the clueless.

Despite being in a country with a strong culinary tradition, which is crossed also by the cuisines of neighboring countries such as China and Japan, in Alma Foods have opted for a Spanish letter, as you can see from the pictures, it current but quite orthodox, in which a good preparation and quality of raw materials prevail over experimentation. Of course, from the Korean perspective it is somewhat of a sample of exoticism, which would also help to explain the success we're having the restaurant.

 

 

One of the popular dishes of Soul Food is rice. The appearance of soupy rice, black rice or paella valenciana the best way is a novelty for a dip in the Eastern tradition, where rice is usually served boiled or sauteed (which has led to wonderful dishes like country bibimbap).

As we show in a previous post (here, if you want to read it), the paella of Lacor are becoming one of our most popular, especially in professional products. More and more restaurants who ask from Valencia to Seoul, and everyone seems to be happy with them. Resilient, manageable and great non-stick, they are perfect also for amateur chefs who want to enter the world of rice without risk of sticking and left everything a mess.
